Seliger International Short Films Festival

Between July 1 and 9, 2011, Filmbooth went international, for the first time ever!

Filmbooth successfully conducted an International Films Festival at the Seliger Youth Forum 2011 for the 700+ international participants of the Forum.

The festival included daily screenings of international and Indian Cinema, including the short films on social causes from Filmbooth’s past events. Films from several countries were showcased; they were mainly fictional / entertaining in style, also including animations, and the films were based on varied themes including peace, brotherhood & empowerment among youth.

The festival also included a Short Film Competition for the International Seliger participants giving them an opportunity to not only display their talent & creativity but also win valuable prizes. To keep all participants on the same plane, workshops were conducted to orient the participants with the basics of film making.

The competition received an outstanding response from the participants and many films were entered into the competition, made on a wide range of subjects, mainly including Life @ Seliger, My Nation / Culture, and Socially relevant issues such as environment and global partnership among youth.

Filmbooth’s first foray abroad was a grand success and the team is now geared up to more such delightful and inspiring experiences.
