The FORUMFORFILMS* is about to launch the newest buzz in town - a new, exciting and vibrant film festival just focused on short films - FILMBOOTH '08. The festival will feature, among other things, a competition section for budding film-makers where the best films will be showcased at the India Habitat Center, New Delhi between 19, 20 & 21 December 2008. The film-makers will not only benefit from screening of their films, they will also benefit by winning exciting prizes and interacting with experts from the films, media and entertainment space. Their films will be screened alongside short films made by renowned film-makers, including those made on AIDS by four top bollywood directors - Mira Nair, Farhan Akhtar, Santosh Sivan and Vishal Bharadwaj.

The Competition has two categories - upto One minute films and upto Twenty minute films. The Filmbooth Team encourages the filmmakers to send in films which are fictional/non documentary in style and character. The last date for receiving the entries is 30th November 2008.

The event will also feature experts' talk and open discussion sessions where all film enthusiasts - viz filmmakers, audience, and experts - connect on a single forum to discuss the latest and the best in the short films ecosystem.
