Yes, we do something related to films. More precisely, we are a platform for short films.

Why short films? Short films are a truly democratic medium of human expression and do not require one to have ‘special skills’ to be a short film maker. If you can shoot a video from your mobile phone or camera, you are a film maker. We encourage everyone to be a film maker. Also, short films depict the stories you want to share with the world. We want you to know that we will always be interested in hearing your story.

If you are wondering how we got that name, maybe you should first see the grin on our face before we answer that question. In 2008 we decided to create a platform where people with no background in filmmaking could get their films screened. This situation had an uncanny resemblance to the scene outside the telephone booths in India a decade back – people with almost no money could connect to their dear ones instantly (those who know how it was would also know that the last word is bit of an exaggeration). Suffices to say – the humble telephone booth represented ‘hope’; and that is what we aspired to become – a symbol of hope for young, budding, raw filmmakers.

The idea of having an access to the untapped creativity of these filmmakers has been simply irresistible and that is what keeps us motivated to serve them. Our campaigns vary in nature, style, theme, and scope but all are essentially directed towards the objective of promoting short film making and the interests of short film makers.
